Could you be eligible for vouchers under the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund?
Well it’s worth finding out isn’t it. We’re always looking for ways to save money, invest money and make your money work for you. And sometimes that comes in the form of Government incentives when you least expect it. What are we talking about? The Government’s Green Deal Home Improvement Fund.
Back in June there was a £120min the scheme which looked to help people make home improvements such as new boilers and cavity wall insulation.
The vouchers were gone before you could say ‘can I have one of those please’ and there was many disgruntled people wondering if it had all been a dream.
Now there’s another £100m being released into the fund and that will be available over a number of months. Homeowners can claim up to £5,600 apparently. £4000 for solid wall installations and £1000 for things like secondary glazing and floor insulation. New home owners could be entitled to more.
How Do I Qualify?
To get your hands on the vouchers, you will need to have the improvement recommended as part of a Green Deal advice report and that is carried out by an assessor as part of an Energy Performance Certificate.
The government will pay £100 towards the cost of an advice report.
Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, we certainly think this is one money-saving scheme worth looking in to.
